Getting Training
Training will be included free with the purchase of any motor and wing package. If you require only training, Midwest PPG will train you for $895.00. Midwest PPG will rent you a motor and wing for your training for an additional $295.00. All funds will be applied to the purchase of your gear if you buy motor and wing from Midwest PPG.
Midwest PPG reserves the right to turn away any student that is perceived to be a danger to him/her self, the sport or the country. Your training could take as little as three days or as long as it takes. Weather is a determining factor.
You will be trained by a USPPA certified flight instructor. You will graduate with a USPPA PPG 2 rating. PPG requires no license to fly. We fly under FAA Part 103 Ultra Light rules.
These machines are as safe as you want them to be. Flying a PPG is fairly easy. Launching is the hardest part, and landing is the second hardest part.
You should be trained by a USPPA certified instructor. This is not an area you should skimp on. Ask any pilot currently flying a PPG and they will tell you not to attempt this on your own. It usually costs as much or more than your training to repair the damage to your machine and or yourself. This is aviation. People have died trying. Besides, you will be in the air and flying MUCH faster with a certified instructor.
Be prepared for the greatest adventure of your life! PPG is even more fun than it looks.

Simulator time is a valuable training tool for Powered Paragliding.
From hang testing to rehearsing control inputs, simulator time has
proven to be a very significant addition to PPG training.
Midwest PPG uses the USPPA approved training syllabus. All aspects of flight training will be covered and checked off as you progress.
